Painting on Tile
For a tile painting project, INSL-X STIX excels in covering glossy surfaces and other difficult substrates with its exceptional adhesion, creating the perfect foundation for topcoats. Once the primer is thoroughly dry, apply two coats of paint with a brush or roller.
For bathrooms and high-humidity areas, Aura Bath & Spa is the perfect choice. It provides a matte, mildew-resistant finish that is both durable and aesthetically pleasing. Featuring Benjamin Moore’s exclusive Color Lock Technology, Aura Bath & Spa ensures enduring color integrity, as pigments are firmly embedded within the film, preventing fading even after numerous washes.
Paint your Tiles in 6 Easy Steps
01.Prepare the Tiles
Sand the Surface: For better paint adhesion, lightly sand the surface of the tile with fine-grit sandpaper. Wipe away dust with a damp cloth and let it dry.
02. Apply STIX Primer
STIX excels in covering glossy surfaces and other difficult substrates with its exceptional adhesion.
03. Tape Off Areas
Use painter’s tape to tape off any areas you don’t want to paint. This is especially important for edges and grout lines.
04. Paint the Tiles
Apply the First Coat: Using a small or medium-sized paintbrush, apply a thin coat of Aura Bath & Spa. Work in small sections to ensure even coverage.
Let It Dry: Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying a second coat.
05. Apply a Sealer
For an additional layer of protection, our V540 topcoat offers a remarkably durable, chemical-resistant finish.
06. Cure and Settle
Allow the tiles to cure for the time recommended by the paint and sealer manufacturers before using them. This ensures the paint fully adheres and is durable.
